Good Weather, Weird Science Made The Annual Event A Hit
On the last Sunday in January, families and friends gathered at our community centre on Sutton Place for a day of outdoor activities , skating and wagon rides. We were blessed with good weather, including sunshine. Among activities the younger children enjoyed was an outdoor treasure hunt for silver-wrapped trinkets hidden all over the park.
At five o’clock, people moved indoors to enjoy a potluck supper which included a great variety of food dishes from different cultures. To end the eventful day, children and parents were entertained by Suzy Goo from Radical Science – a real hit with the audience .
The community association would like to grow this event. If you have any ideas or suggestions to make it better, please e-mail Lyn McCaw.
