At the southern end of Steve McLean Park, near the corner of Deer Park and Meadowlands, stands the Long Park Tennis Club (the club did not have its name changed when the park itself was renamed).
A member of the Ontario Tennis Association, the club’s courts are open to members between mid April and early November. To become a member, call Cheryl Clarke at email@example.com or (613) 226-2369.
Membership fees for the 2017 season are:
- Family (parents & children under 18): $80
- Single adult: $58
- Student (enrolled full-time in college/university): $50
- Junior (18 years and under): $32
- New members must also pay a $15 key charge
Entry to the courts is by a locked gate system which is necessary for insurance coverage. The lock is rekeyed every April; members who return their key at the end of a season do not have to pay a $10 key charge the following season.
Lessons for adults and children are available on request and summer camps will be offered to youth aged 7-12 years old. Memberships and lessons can be arranged by contacting Cheryl at firstname.lastname@example.org or (613) 226-2369.
