At the southern end of Steve McLean Park, near the corner of Deer Park and Meadowlands, stands the Long Park Tennis Club (the club did not have its name changed when the park itself was renamed).
The club is operated by a small group of neighborhood volunteers. It is located at 1170 Deer Park Road (corner of Deer Park Road and Meadowlands). Membership registration for 2019 season
Half-price membership fees for Long Park Tennis Club are now in effect until the end of October (weather permitting):
-Family (parents and children under 18): $40
-Student (enrolled at university or college): $25
-Junior (under the age of 18): $16
Gate key is $15 or return last year’s key for a new one free.

Entry to the courts is by a locked gate system which is necessary for insurance coverage. The lock is rekeyed every April; members who return their key at the end of a season do not have to pay a $10 key charge the following season.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT LESSONS (Beginning July 12th)
The club will offer a set of five one-hour lessons on Wednesdays at 6:30.
Cost for the package is $55.
Instructor Nick Patterson and his team are fully certified instructors that work with several Ottawa clubs. Nick has been teaching tennis to adults and children for 35 years. Three years ago, he started Tennis for Life Ottawa and teaches full-time at the Rideau Sports Centre.

The club has been in operation since the 1960s and, since 1991, has been operated by a small group of neighbourhood volunteers, under the auspices of the City of Ottawa. The aim is to provide a safe and good environment within the Fisher Heights area where families can enjoy recreational tennis.
